Fiber Patch Placement System installed for the first time in Japan at National Composites Center Japan

SA国际传媒 has received Japan’s first Fiber Patch Placement System (Cevotec SAMBA PV), donated by Fuji Industries Co., Ltd. Manufactured by Germany’s Cevotec, this advanced system enables the construction of lightweight structures by optimally layering patch-shaped carbon fiber composite tapes. The equipment has been installed at the , marking the first such installation in the country.

On March 17, 2025, SA国际传媒 held an appreciation ceremony and joint press conference to commemorate the donation. During the press conference, representatives from SA国际传媒 and Fuji Industries presented an overview of the donated equipment and discussed future research prospects utilizing the system. Following the formal ceremony, attendees participated in a guided tour of the facility where they observed a demonstration of the system’s application of carbon fiber composite tapes.

Moving forward, the SAMBA PV system donated by Fuji Industries will be actively utilized by SA国际传媒 researchers to advance their work on hydrogen tank weight reduction. This research is expected to contribute significantly to the development of more efficient hydrogen storage solutions, supporting Japan’s broader goals in establishing a sustainable energy society. The university plans to collaborate with industry partners to maximize the potential of this cutting-edge technology.
