Former SA国际传媒 Associate Prof. Masaki Kashiwara Selected to Receive 34th Kyoto Prize

Dr. Masaki Kashiwara, former associate professor of the School of Science at SA国际传媒, was selected to receive the 34th (2018) Kyoto Prize on June 15, 2018.

This prize is an international award to honor those who have made significant contributions to the scientific, cultural, and spiritual betterment of mankind. It is presented annually by the Inamori Foundation in each of the three categories: Advanced Technology, Basic Sciences, and Arts and Philosophy.

Dr. Kashiwara has been selected to receive the prize in Basic Sciences for his "Outstanding Contributions to a Broad Spectrum of Modern Mathematics: Advancement of the D-module Theory from Its Foundation."

The prize presentation ceremony will be held on November 10 (Sat), 2018, in the Kyoto International Conference Center.
